Requirements
Matric/ Grade 12 plus National Diploma (NQF Level 6) / Bachelor Degree (NQF Level 7) in Logistic Management, Finance or relevant qualification as recognized by SAQA. 1 – 3 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management, Demand and Acquisition Management and Government Procurement processes and procedures.COMPETENCIES: Knowledge and understanding of procurement processes and procedures, PFMA, PPPFA, BBBEE, Treasury Regulations, Supply Chain Management and Contract Management. Candidate must have good communication skills both verbal and writing, problem solving, initiative and interpersonal skills. Highly motivated, results oriented and have the ability to plan. Computer literacy is essential. Working knowledge of financial system such as BAS, SAP, SRM, etc. Ability to work under pressure. Willingness to work irregular hours when required.
Duties
To provide an efficient and effective BAC and Contract Management support to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. Adherence to National/Provincial/Departmental Supply Chain Management legislation, policies and procedures. Adherence to departmental contract management policies and procedures. Assist with BAC secretariat with all administrative duties. Keeping and updating of registers i.e. BAC submission, Tender and Contract, Deviation, Extension and ex post Facto registers. Draft award letters to successful bidders and any correspondence relating to BAC. Capturing of contract awarded for more than R 100 000.00 on the CRA system (National Treasury website). Monitoring of awarded contracts.
