Job Requirements / Duties / Responsibilities
Honours Degree with English as a subject, coupled with at least five years relevant experience is required for the post of Chief Admin Officer (P7). The successful candidate must be highly computer literate and have a high level of English proficiency. In-depth knowledge of administrative procedures and systems, excellent verbal and writing skills, precision and attention to detail, good listening skills, ability to work under pressure and independently. The candidate must have good knowledge of relevant legislations. A drivers licence will be an added advantage.
The incumbent will issue notices/invitations to members of committees.He/she will also request members/schools/departments to submit reports/new submissions which are to be included on the agenda for a meeting.
Venues for meetings must be booked and refreshments, hotel accommodation and travelling arrangements be made where necessary.
Agendas for meetings must be drawn up and circulated to members within the specified time-frame.
Notes must be taken at meetings and minutes and reports written after a meeting within the specified period.
Decision registers must be compiled and maintained within the specified period.
