Job Description

Summary purpose of the job:

The Statutory Operations Division has a vacancy for a Coordinator: Cold Chain Services to coordinate and analyse Cold Chain administrative processes nationally to ensure the successful and uniform implementation and maintenance of PPECB business systems and processes.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Ensure service excellence to internal and external clients
  • Ensure completeness of income by analysing cold chain administrative processes and facilitating uniformity in implementation nationally
  • Coordinate the administrative duties of Cold Chain Services
  • Query management
  • Management of Exception Reports on Titan
  • Continuously improve business processes through process re-engineering to ensure business needs are met
  • Optimisation of Cold Chain Processes
  • Assist regions with the reduction of audit findings and credit notes on cold chain processes
  • Compile national coordination plan for cold chain services and conduct operational visits
  • National development and training of Administrative personnel on Cold Chain processes
  • Compile user notes for Administrators
  • Develop training manuals and coordinate training interventions
  • Accept the responsibility of continuous self-improvement in their area of responsibility
  • Monitor, influence and report on performance within the Cold Chain value stream
  • Navision Key User for Cold Chain Administration
  • Active participation in projects and system developments
  • Participate in debtors meeting/update Cold Chain financial information on report/minutes
  • Conduct completeness of income audits on Cold Chain Services
  • Responsible for Cold Chain ISO document control (BMS)
  • Adherence to internal business processes, procedures and policies
  • Coordinate and manage stock of Phytosanitary certificates within Coastal Division
  • Coordinate SLA compliance and reporting
  • Database Administration and supervise timeous capturing on information systems
  • Participation in compiling annual Cold Chain Administration Services budget
  • Issuing and control of batch books to regions and maintaining the register
  • Participation in the implementation of the ERP Project
  • Supporting implementation of TITAN 2.0 on Cold Chain
Job Requirements
  • The minimum requirement is a post-matric certificate with preference to a Diploma / National Diploma in Administration / Office Management
  • Minimum of 7 yearsadministration experience withinCold Chain and / or Inspection / Regulatory environment
  • Good working knowledge of the Perishable export industry with specific reference to cold chain processes and activities (internal and external)
  • Knowledge of Finance and Information system (Navision)
  • A valid Code 8 Drivers licence
