Daar sal van die posbekleër verwag word om die lewering van `n strategies-belynde, omvattende, proaktiewe en geïntegreerde menslike hulpbron (MH) adviserende diens, met `n fokus op personeelsake in ‘n toegekende omgewing, te bestuur.

(Three Positions – two positions located at Stellenbosch Campus and one position located at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Tygerberg Campus)

The incumbent of this post will be required to manage the delivery of a strategy-aligned, comprehensive, pro-active and integrated human resources (HR) advisory service with a focus on staff matters in an allocated environment.

Duties/Pligte
Strategiese personeelbeplanning:
  • Mede-ontwikkeling van `n kliënt-spesifieke meerjarige personeelplan vir die behoud van personeel, opvolgbeplanning en die verbetering van personeelmobiliteit;
  • Monitering van die Diensbillikheidsplan binne die omgewing;
  • Ontwikkeling en handhawing van `n diepgaande begrip van die kliëntebasis, deur middel van deurlopende skakeling;
  • Werwing en advies oor die werwing van hoëkaliber kandidate om aan strategiese vereistes te voldoen;
  • Verseker `n akkurate aanstellingsproses ingevolge die nuwe Arbeidswetgewing, Kode vir Bestuurspraktyke, personeelplan, MH-beleid, riglyne en prosedures;
  • Uitvoering van die volledige werwings- en keuringsproses, vanaf werwing en keuring, tot by finale plasing, met inbegrip van die hantering van aanstellingsverwante administrasie, personeel-induksie en uitdienstredingsprosesse.

Konsultasie- en prosesinsette:

  • Voorsiening van MH-statistiek om tendense in die omgewing te identifiseer;
  • Monitering en gehaltebeheer van MH-prosesse en -prosedures in ooreenstemming met ouditvereistes;
  • Voorsiening van toepaslike inligting ingevolge Arbeidswetgewing, Kode vir Bestuurspraktyke, personeelplan, MH-beleid, riglyne en prosedures aan lynbestuurders en personeel;
  • Deurlopende kommunikasie van sleutel MH-besluite en -spertye om konsekwente dienslewering te verseker;
  • Lewering van adviserende ondersteuning met betrekking tot veranderingsbestuurs.

Kliënteskakeling, dienslewering en verhoudingsbestuur:

  • Ontwikkeling en bou van doeltreffende verhoudings met belanghebbers ten einde die integrasie van MH beste praktyke met beplanning en bedryf aan te moedig;
  • Proaktiewe ontwikkeling van verhoudingsbou met toepaslike MH-spesialiste (bv. Vergoeding en Voordele, sun-e-HR, Werknemerverhoudings, Welwees, Opleiding en Ontwikkeling, ens.) en MH-kollegas;
  • Gereelde kommunikasie oor MH-diensaanbiedings;
  • Ontwikkeling van verbeterde diensleweringsmeganismes in die konteks van `n veranderende omgewing, indien nodig.

Ad hoc:

  • Suksesvolle voltooiing van projekdoelwitte soos ooreengekom;
  • Uitvoering van ad hoc-take wat met Menslike Hulpbronadministrasie en betaalrolfunksies verband hou.

Strategic workforce planning:

  • Co-developing a client-specific multi-year workforce plan to improve staff retention, succession planning and the improvement of staff mobility;
  • Monitoring the Employment Equity (EE) plan within the environment;
  • Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of client base through continuous engagement;
  • Recruiting and advising on sourcing high calibre candidates to fulfil strategic requirements;
  • Ensuring accuracy of the appointment process in terms of the new Labour legislation, Code for Management Practices, personnel plan, HR Policies, Guidelines and Procedures;
  • Executing the full recuitment and selection process, from the recruitment and selection, up to the final placing, including handling appointment-related administration, onboarding and off-boarding.

Consulting and process input:

  • Providing HR statistics to identify trends in the environment;
  • Monitoring and quality assurance of HR processes and procedures in line with auditing requirements;
  • Providing relevant information in terms of Labour Legislation, Code for Management Practices, personnel plan, HR Policies, Guidelines and Procedures to line managers and staff;
  • Continuously communicating key HR decisions and deadlines to ensure consistent service delivery;
  • Providing advisory support with regard to change management.

Client engagement, service delivery and relationship management:

  • Developing and building effective relationships with stakeholders to encourage integration of HR best practices into planning and operation;
  • Pro-actively developing relationships with relevant HR specialists (e.g. Remuneration and Benefits, sun-e-HR, Employee Relations, Wellness, Training and Development, etc.) and HR colleagues;
  • Regularly communicating HR service offerings;
  • Developing improved service delivery mechanisms in the context of a changing environment if needed.

Ad hoc:

  • Successful completion of project goals as agreed upon;
  • Performing ad hoc tasks relating to Human Resources administration and payroll functions.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
  • Minstens `n B-graad of soortgelyke kwalifikasie in menslike hulpbronne;
  • Minstens vyf jaar ervaring in MH as `n algemene MH-beampte;
  • Kennis van Menslike Hulpbron-vergoedingsbegrotings;
  • Vermoë om die omgewing se verwagtinge te verstaan, asook die noodige dryfkrag en entoesiasme om die vereiste belyning tussen beleid en besigheid te bewerkstellig;
  • Kenis van Menslike Hulpbronbeleid, -riglyne en -prosesse;
  • `n Sterk kliënt-ingesteldheid met die vermoë om met kliënte op verskeie vlakke te konsulteer, vanaf juniorvlak tot senior bestuur;
  • Doeltreffende lees, skriftelike en mondelinge kommunikasie- en fasiliteringsvaardighede;
  • Vaardigheid in MS Office;
  • Sterk administratiewe vaardighede met die nodige vermoë om onder druk te presteer en spertye te haal;
  • Vermoë om vooruit te dink en inisiatief te neem;
  • Hoë mate van selfvertroue, energie en dryfkrag;
  • Vermoë om onafhanklik te werk en standpunt in te neem;
  • Vermoë om doeltreffend binne `n span te funksioneer;
  • Vermoë om vertroulikheid te handhaaf;
  • Uitsonderlike interpersoonlike vaardighede en die vermoë om konflik te hanteer;
  • Ervaring in vaardigheidsgebaseerde onderhoudvoering;
  • Ervaring van `n posevalueringstelsel;
  • ‘n Geldige rybewys.

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in human resources or equivalent;
  • At least five years’ experience in HR as an HR Generalist;
  • Knowledge of Human Resources remuneration budgets;
  • Ability to understand environment expectations, as well as the essential drive and enthusiasm to affect the required alignment between policy and business;
  • Knowledge of Human Resources policies, guidelines and processes;
  • A strong client orientation with the ability to consult to varying levels of clients, from junior level up to senior management;
  • Effective reading, written and verbal communication and facilitation skills;
  • Proficiency in MS Office;
  • Strong administrative skills with the necessary ability to excel under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to think ahead and to take initiative;
  • High level of confidence, energy and drive;
  • Ability to work independently and to take a stand;
  • Ability to function effectively within a team;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality;
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to handle conflict;
  • Experience in competency-based interviewing;
