Purpose of the Internship: The Road Accident Fund is committed to youth skills development by providing graduates with an opportunity to gain work experience. Applications are invited for the Internal Communication Internship for unemployed graduates between the age of 18 and 35.The Internship program will run for a period of twelve (12) months.

Work based exposure may include the following;

  • Assist with the implementation of the RAF internal communications strategy and Operational Plan which includes.
  • Internal event coordination.
  • Writing copy for day to day internal communication messages and publications.
  • Contribute to internal communication planning in the unit.
  • Language editing and proofreading.
  • Intranet content administration.
  • Basic graphic design.

Qualifications and other Requirements

  • Certified copy of Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
  • NQF Level 7 or higher such as, B A Communication / B A Journalism / B Marketing or Marketing Management / B Commerce in Marketing / National Diploma: Public Relations, Communications or any other relevant qualification.
  • Certified copy of your ID.
  • Certified copy of academic transcript.
  • Your CV and motivational letter.

Technical and behavioural competencies required

The successful candidates will be required to display the following competencies in this role:

  • Interpersonal skills
  • Detail orientation
  • Desire and potential to learn
  • Self-motivated
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Apple Mac and basic graphic design skills will be advantageous)
  • Prioritise tasks as needed
  • Able to work well on his/her own, as well as part of a team
  • Be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Pay attention to detail

    Remuneration
    The intern will be awarded a monthly stipend.
