You will gain experience of the manufacturing process through on the job training in the key areas’ of their business which include customer service, purchasing, finance, technical, production, warehousing and maintenance. Upon completion of the manufacturing learnership successful candidates will be offered full time, permanent roles.
The manufacturing learnership programme covers the following and will lead to a National Certificate: Metal and Engineering Manufacturing (Level 2):
Operating and monitoring machinery.
Completing post-production and finishing operations.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Marking-off regular engineering shapes.
Selecting, using and caring for engineering hand and power tools.
Verifying compliance to safety, health and environmental requirements in the workplace.
Explaining emergency preparedness and response procedures.
Working in a team.
Genuine interest in the metal and engineering manufacturing processes environment.
Enthusiastic, willingness to learn.
Grade 10 or Equivalent (Minimum) with Math & English.
Organised, neat, tidy, ordered.
Desire to progress, achieve and succeed.
