|Job Purpose||The aim of the Department of Transport and Public Works, Western Cape Government is to employ and develop a competent individual to integrate an effective and efficient management of Supply Chain Management services in the provisioning system. These posts are based in Cape Town.|
|Minimum Requirements||Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification); A minimum of 6 months’ appropriate experience.|
|Recommendation||Accounting experience; Standard Charts of Accounts (SCOA) knowledge; Relevant Logistic Information System (LOGIS) experience.|
|Key Performance Areas||Utilise LOGIS effectively for the provisioning functions: Act as Chief user clerk for section/completes requisition form. Support service functions: Process payments via the LOGIS system. Warehouse Management: Capturing enquiries on IPS; Inventory Management: Assist with monthly and annual stock takes. Electronic Purchasing system: Downloading quotation after closing time; Compile IPS transactions for under R10 000 and over R10 000 accompany with the applicable annexures.|
|Competencies||A good understanding of the following: Public Finance Management Act (PFMA); Standard Charts of Accounts SCOA; Accounting; Proven computer literacy; Administration skills; Communication (written and verbal) skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.|
|Remuneration||R 163 563 per annum (Salary Level 5)
Note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD), the middle-management service (MMS) and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed. Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees’ service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
